Nevanlinna’s value distribution theory and its applications

30  May 2018 prof. C. Yang from the Hong Kong University of  Science and Technology gave a talk “Nevanlinna’s value distribution theory and its applications” at faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of YSU.

Abstract.Recently, Nevanlinna theory has been utilized to study and derive new theory, new problems relating factorization (in the composite sense) and value sharing of meromorphic functions, as well as the problems relating to the existence and growth of meromorphic solutions of certain types of functional (including differential-difference)  equations. In the talk, Nevanlinna theory will be briefly reviewed  first, and then some results and related old  and  new open problems obtained or posed mainly by the speaker and his co-workers will be reported, for further investigations.
