25 April 2013, a general meeting of AMU was held, which was addressed by Prof. Arshag Hajian from Northeastern University (Boston, Mass) with a report “Infinite Ergodic Transformations”. The basic concepts and results of ergodic theory in spaces with infinite \(\sigma\)-finite measure were given. This theory is replete with unusual examples (many of which belong to the lecturer) alien to the intuition of specialists working with finite measure.
